Dynamics of a Christian Home - Workshop - June 2008
Pastor David Cox and Mary-Anne Cox conducted an informative and enjoyable workshop that began on Friday night and ended on Sunday morning when David delivered the sermon. He is the founder of the Word of Life Biblical Seminary in Atibaia and Mary-Anne is the daughter of the founder of the World Wide ministry of Word of Life. Both brought with them their vast experience as model parents and grandparents and lively sense of humor. Sharing Your Faith Workshop - April 2008
Over 30 participants had the privilege of hearing pastor Donald Foster from Atlanta, Georgia, deliver an 8-hour Saturday workshop on sharing your faith, by using your own hand as a memory tool. This seminar broke down barriers for those who want to carry out Christ´s command to spread the good news. Meter-long submarine sandwiches were the crowd-pleasing lunch. Due to the workshop success, we plan to hold another of these workshop which is part of the Evangelism Explosion program.
Pot Luck Luncheon - March 2008
One of our typical lunches after the Sunday morning worship service brought members and friends together for a time of leisure conversation over delicious dishes. Each person was asked to bring enough of his favorite dish to serve 6 people. This tradition in the States is known as a “Pot Luck Lunch”, a term meaning that you don´t really know what you are going to find until you get to the buffet table. You´ll just have to take your chances….pot luck.
Inauguration of the Max Mangels Ministry Center - February 2008
Max Mangels loved Fellowship Church. As a pillar to the church he was an exemplary Christian who gave his time, talents and treasures. In honor of this great man Fellowship Church renovated its former nursery and classroom, transforming it into a lecture space and lounge than Max would have surely enjoyed. Max, you are missed, but far from forgotten.
