Leadership and Staff.

Here you may meet our staff and our lay leaders. We at Fellowship Community Church feel blessed with both the staff and the lay leadership God has graciously provided us:

The Minister

Gavin Aitken has been ministering at Fellowship since July 2007. He is married to Eleny Vassão de Paula Aitken and they are the parents of Todd, Aimee, Dalton, Daví, Denis and Daniel. Gavin received his Theological Training at Emmaus Bible College and has served as a missionary in Brazil since 1963 with Christian Missions in Many Lands. He has a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from the Seminário Bíblico Palavra da Vida. His other activites include: President of Child Evangelism in Brazil, Back to the Bible in Brazil and the Evangelical Hospital Chaplaincy’s Beneficent Association.

Choir Director

Mrs. Mangels has been a member of Fellowship for over 50 years, and has been involved in leading its music ministries for almost the same time. She is a gifted choir director and has been greatly responsible for the prestige that Fellowship’s Choir has achieved. Marilyn is the widow of Max Mangels and the mother of Robert, Mark and Suzie. One of Marilyn’s great joys is to know how Fellowship’s music ministry has been such a key ingredient in the church’s success over the years.

Church Organist

Mr. de Souza has been the organist at Fellowship Community Church for over ten years, during which he has greatly blessed the church. He is married to Marta and they have three children: Renan, Anna Heloisa and Roberto. The whole family are regular members at Fellowship and the church counts their presence and ministry as a great blessing.,

Church Secretary

Denis has been the secretary of Fellowship since December 2005. He is married to Cynthia, who is a teacher at Mackenzie in the area of Basic Education. Both are extremely important to Fellowship and very active members. They are talented musicians as well. Denis recently became a member of the Council where he presently serves as Vice-president.

Church Custodians

Hilda has been blessing Fellowship with her work for over 14 years. Her work behind the scenes is crucial for the proper functioning of our facilities. She is the mother of Alessandra, Andrea and Aline and her presence is constant not only in her work at Fellowship but also in the activities of which she participates.

João Lopes da Silva hás been at Fellowship since 2003 and takes care of the building as well as the grounds. He is a jack-of-all-trades and helps prepare for our special events including annual charity fundraisers like the Bazaar and “garage sales”. The lovely church garden reflects João´s dedication and hard work.
